Lauzon Plaza Set to Transform East Windsor with $30M Development

Posted on August 28th 2025 by Lalovich

East Windsor is about to see one of its biggest real estate changes in years. That long-empty site on Lauzon Road near Tranby is no longer sitting idle. It is being redeveloped into Lauzon Plaza, a new mixed-use hub that will bring shopping, dining, and housing to the east side.

A New Community Hub

For years this stretch of land sat vacant. Now, thanks to Lauzon Commercial Development Corp. and Qing Qing Lin, owner of Multifood Supermarket, it is being rebuilt into 75,000 square feet of commercial space anchored by Windsor’s second Multifood location.

Alongside the grocery store, residents can look forward to well-known names like Average Joe’s Sports Bar, Paratha Junction, and Swan Mediterranean Bakery and Grill. The vision is to create a true community hub where people can shop, eat, and gather.

Two Residential Towers Coming

The commercial space is only part of the story. The plan also calls for two residential towers with about 140 new rental units. This adds much-needed housing to the east side and supports the push for more walkable, complete communities.

The development will be built in three phases:

    •    Fall 2026 – 60,000 square feet of commercial space, including the grocery store.

    •    Spring 2027 – Another 15,000 square feet of shops and services.

    •    Fall 2028 – Two residential towers ready for tenants.

Why It Matters

Projects like this show the confidence investors still have in Windsor. Even with global uncertainty, developers are putting tens of millions into our city because they see the long-term opportunity here.

For east Windsor residents, it means new amenities close to home. For business owners and investors, it is proof that the east side is growing and has strong potential for both commercial and residential development.

Final Thoughts

Lauzon Plaza is a major change for east Windsor. It is turning a long-vacant site into a place where people can live, shop, and connect. Whether you are excited about the new grocery store or curious about the new housing, this project will reshape Lauzon Road for years to come.
