Quick Facts

  • What: the new Costco gas station in East Windsor
  • Where: 6670 Catherine Street, near Tecumseh Road East and Lauzon Parkway
  • Opened: Tuesday, October 27, 2026
  • Price we saw: $1.59/L for regular on October 28

  • Good to know: a Costco membership is required to fill up

What We Know So Far

The gas station opened on Tuesday, ahead of the warehouse next door. Costco has confirmed the retail store will open on November 20.

As with every Costco gas bar, you’ll need a membership to fill up.

How Much Can You Save?

Most stations around Windsor have recently been sitting closer to $1.75 to $1.80 a litre. At $1.59, that’s roughly 15 to 20 cents a litre less.

On a typical 50-litre fill-up, that works out to about $8 to $10 back in your pocket, every single time. For a family filling up once a week, it adds up quickly.

Prices change daily, so the gap won’t always be this wide. But Costco gas has a reputation for consistently being among the cheapest in town.

Why This Matters for the East End

From a commercial real estate perspective, this is a big one.

A Costco is one of the strongest traffic generators in retail. It brings thousands of visits a week to an area, and nearby plazas, restaurants and service businesses typically feel it.

With the gas station open now and the warehouse coming next month, we’ll be watching how leasing demand and property values in the surrounding area respond over the next year.

What Happens Next

The warehouse opens on November 20. Expect busy lineups at the pumps and in the parking lot for the first few weeks, especially on weekends.

If you’re heading there, a weekday morning is probably your best bet.

Final Thoughts

Lower gas prices and a major new retailer are good news for East Windsor, and for the businesses and property owners around it.
